Hi there,
I have perc6/e with 3 MD1000 running 3x raid 10 array+ 3 hotspare now, been fine.
I want to upgrade to H810 for larger cache, better performance and use cachecade. Anyway, I bought SFF8088 to SFF8407 cable and connected connected a free MD1000 to H810, everything works perfect.
Now i just need to migrate the other real 3x production MD1000 to it, I could do a cold swap, and hope h810 recognize array created by Perc6/e , or I could go the long route of having both in the system, migrating data around and once an array is empty, move it from old card to new card and recreate array.
Have you guys done this before? Is it worth the trouble?
