I have recently got a C6100 and met an annoying issue here: all power indicators of 4 nodes are always blinking amber/green when they are on (blinking amber when they are off). After reading the owner's manual I think it means BMC critical events. Hence I grabbed the events via IPMI (I have done a event clear so it would be shorter).
1 | 11/28/2013 | 08:52:30 | Event Logging Disabled #0x40 | Log area reset/cleared | Asserted
2 | 11/28/2013 | 08:52:56 | System ACPI Power State #0x73 | Legacy ON state | Asserted
3 | 11/28/2013 | 08:53:02 | Power Unit #0xa9 | AC lost | Asserted
4 | 11/28/2013 | 08:53:17 | Unknown #0x81 |
5 | 11/28/2013 | 08:53:47 | System Event #0x85 | OEM System boot event | Asserted
Those power & boot ones I guess shall be OK. But the 4th item is decoded as "unknown", which seems suspicious to me. Does anyone know what happened? I have confirmed all fans are spinning and in fact I can boot to USB for all 4 nodes.
