I had WS2012R2 datacenter running Hyper-V with 2 VMs for a short time when something got hosed (still not sure). It was still fairly new install, so I decided to just start over.
I reinstalled, everything went fine. my existing storage pools were recognized and I reattached them to the new install of WS2012R2 (with update).
As I started setting it up, however, I noticed my main storage pool disappeared when I restarted.
