Hard Drive Recommendation

Hi All,

I'm new to this so sorry if these seem like basic questions. I come from a software engineering/processor architecture background, so IT decisions are a high level thing for me. I decided to build a 4u 24-bay home server to mess around with and to host my blu ray collection. I was wondering what kind of hard drives would be a good deal here? What price should I pay and are there any considerations I should be aware of?
