Did I get the wrong cable?

I currently have an m1015, and wanted to get an extra pair of cables. Turns out I got the mini sas to sata cable, but comes with an sgpio cable as well.

While reading, it seems this is a different cable than the SFF-8087. The LSI card is not seeing any of the drives attached to the cable.

I am new to these types of cables and connectors, did I get the wrong one?
